The London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, a symphony of British music, took place in the Olympic Stadium in London, England, UK at 21:00 EST on the 12th of August 2012. One Direction was one of the many artists that took part.
One Direction's performance[]
After Pet Shop Boys performance of “West End Girls”, One Direction sang "What Makes You Beautiful" from the top of a lorry, accompanied by the British volunteers who danced along to the song, like the many songs during the evening. They were preceded by Stomp. Their performance had a total duration of 2:27. They repeated their song twice during the evening, the second time during the March of the Athletes.
