Danielle Marie Campbell[1] (born January 30, 1995) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Davina Claire on television series The Originals.
She dated Louis Tomlinson from December 2015 to December 2016.
Background[]
Campbell is from Hinsdale, Illinois. Her parents are Georganne and John Campbell; she has a younger brother.[2] She was discovered in a hair salon in Chicago at the age of 10.[3]
She lived in Atlanta, Georgia while filming The Originals but resides in Chicago, Illinois.
Career[]
Campbell guest starred on Prison Break for five episodes. She then appeared in a nationwide commercial for Build-A-Bear Workshop and played the character of Darla in the 2008 movie The Poker House. In 2010, she appeared in the Disney Channel television series Zeke and Luther, portraying Dani, before starring in the television movie StarStruck with Sterling Knight. Upon StarStruck's release, she signed a development deal with Disney. She starred in the movie Prom, released on April 29, 2011.
In 2013, she was cast a starring role in the television series The Originals, where she portrayed the role of a powerful sixteen-year-old witch named Davina for the series' first three seasons. In late 2013, Campbell was announced to star in the 2015 film 16 South, alongside Luke Benward. In April 2015, Campbell shot the movie Race To Win, where she has a lead role, alongside Aiden Flowers and Luke Perry. She played the lead character in Fine Bros' 2016 film F The Prom. In 2017, she starred in television series Runaway. As of 2018, Campbell has starred in four television series - The Originals (returning role), Famous in Love, Alice in Denver and Tell Me A Story - will star in two upcoming films - American Pets and Ghost Light - and will star in a forthcoming television series titled All American.
Relationship with Louis[]
Louis and Danielle began following each other on social media in late 2015. By December 2015, they were publicly dating, despite Louis expecting his first child with another woman at the time. In July 2016, the mother of Freddie Tomlinson tweeted an apparent message to Danielle: "You will NEVER be my baby son's mother" after photos of Danielle holding Freddie were published by TMZ.[4] The tweet was later deleted. Louis and Danielle attended various events together in 2016, including the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco and Coachella music festival in California. On August 17, 2016, Danielle conducted an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight where she spoke fondly of Louis. Campbell stated "He's been so good to me and I care about him a lot. I think Louis treats me so well."[5] She also praised Louis and Briana Jungwirth for their co-parenting of Freddie, saying she had respect for Briana, despite her volatile reaction to Danielle's presence in Louis and Freddie's lives. On October 25, 2016, Danielle attended Lottie Tomlinson's beauty collection launch party in London, along with Louis. She was present at Louis's first solo performance on The X Factor on December 10, 2017 and celebrated his birthday on December 24, 2016.
On 19 January 2017, The Sun confirmed the pair had split amicably.
