Heroes is a song written by David Bowie and Brian Eno in 1977. Produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti, it was released both as a single and as the title track of the album "Heroes".
The X Factor Version[]
The final sixteen acts from the seventh series of The X Factor, including Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction, released a cover version of the song on 21 November 2010 in aid of Help for Heroes which is a British Charity to help and provide better facilities for British servicemen and women. All sixteen of the acts returned to The X Factor to perform the single live. The title of this version omitted the quotation marks.
In 2008, X Factor finalists including Alexandra Burke, JLS and Diana Vickers recorded a cover of the track Hero for the charity.
