Irish Autism Action is a young, dynamic, innovative and passionate organisation formed in 2001, by parents for parents, which is bringing positive change into the lives of families affected by autism. The range of services which Irish Autism Action provides includes awareness raising, early detection diagnosis, education support, advocacy, counselling, helpline, home based support, transition planning, social housing, research information and advice for families upon receiving diagnosis.[1]

Niall Horan is an ambassador for the charity.

Band Involvement[]

In 2012, Niall organized a charity golf match and dinnner for Irish Autism Action and Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar (TEAM). The events were held on his birthday, September 13. Niall said of the events: "I am delighted and honoured to be in the fortunate position of being able to give back to my community. The plan for my birthday is to raise as much money as possible for IAA and TEAM and at the same time ensuring that both events are successful and fun for everyone involved."[2]

In 2014, Niall organized a charity all-star football match at Leicester City King’s Stadium against Piers Morgan's team.[3]Niall was team manager and Louis, Harry and Liam were all team members. 

In 2016, Niall organized a charity golfing event with golfer Justin Rose on May 29, to support the Katy and Justin Rose Foundation and the Irish Autism Action Mission Statement. He designed an exclusive shirt available for two weeks only, in order to raise money and awareness[4]
