Little Mix have just been added to the list of artists who have been largely benefited by the boy-band.
Following the US release of Little Mix's second album, Salute, it has debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200. Despite not having any hit singles in the US, thanks to social media, the british girl-band managed to sell 43,000 copies of the album. Zayn Malik, currently emgaged with Little Mix's Perrie Edwards tweeted asking his 12M followers to buy the album, and received 90k retweets. Niall Horan also mentioned it to his 17M followers receiving 75k retweets as well. Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock has also stated "It's great to have that support. The 1D boys have been really supportive and dedicated".

After an argument among the members of One Direction, rumours are spreding about Harry's intentions.
Recently, the boys have had an argument about their forth album. Harry wanted to get rid of the teenage boy band image of the group, and wanted to give a much rockier feel to the album. He also wanted them to write all the songs on the album. But the other boys weren't particularly keen on the idea, especially Niall and Louis, who liked how Midnight Memories had turned out, and didn't want to change.

After only five weeks, Midnight Memories became the biggest selling album of 2013 in the UK, beating Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events.
Since it's release on the 25th of November, One Direction's third studio album, Midnight Memories managed to sell 685,000 copies. After becoming the fastest selling album of 2013, shifting more than 237,000 copies in only seven days, it spent a month quickly gathering more and spending two weeks at the top of the UK albums chart.

Midnight Memories fails to reclaim the top of the UK albums chart, losing to Robbie Williams by ony 200 copies.
The top of the UK albums chart have been in constant dispute during the last five weeks between Robbie Williams' Swings Both Ways and One Direction's Midnight Memories. On the week of it's release, Swings Both Ways went straight to #1. A week later, on Midnight Memories release, it also topped the chart straight away, becoming the fastest selling album of the year.
